

Reverend Eugene P. Curtin
Fr.
Curtin was born in Dorchester on March 3, 1931, the son of the late
Catherine and Peter J. Curtin. He grew up in Jamaica Plain in the
Blessed Sacrament Parish. After attending Boston College High School,
he entered St. John Seminary. He was ordained on February 2, 1956
at Holy Name Church, West Roxbury by the Most Rev. Eric F. MacKenzie.
Fr. Curtin's first assignment was to St. Patrick Parish in East
Cambridge (1956-1960). He later served as curate at St. Andrew,
North Billerica (1960-1967) and at St. Patrick, Stoneham (1967-1976).
In November, 1976, he was appointed pastor of St. Patrick Parish
in Lawrence. In February, 1981, he celebrated his silver jubilee.
On June 18, 1991, he was appointed pastor of St. Brigid Parish.
The Parish celebrated the fortieth anniversary of his ordination
in February, 1996. |
